We are so proud of all our pupils and the paths in which they have taken in their lives. We know that they are all stars in their own right and we love to hear about the way in which they shine in the world….

Here are just a few of our past pupils that have continued within the world of performing arts…

Victoria Beckham

Our most famous pupil, who, as Victoria Adams, attended the Jason Theatre School from 1982 to 1991 before gaining a scholarship to Laine Theatre Arts. She rose to fame in the 1990’s as a member of the Spice Girls when their debut album sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. In 2008, a celebrity style icon, she launched her own successful fashion empire and is now focused on her work as a designer.

Danny Teeson

Danny now has his own production company in Los Angeles! He has had a highly successful performing career and has also choreographed for some huge stars such as Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Paula Abdul to name but a few and Brit Award winners Robbie Williams and Tom Jones with whom he won the VH1 Best Video Award for “Sex Bomb.

Bill Deamer

Bill Deamer is one of Britain’s leading choreographers for theatre, film and television. He won the Olivier Award for Best Choreographer in 2013 for Top Hat, which also won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2013.Bill is also a very successful choreographer for film & television with credits such as ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and the hit BBC Strictly Come Dancing series where he continues to contribute featured group professional routines and Charlestons.

Tereza Theodoulou

Tereza has recently been appointed as the Chair of the Modern Theatre Faculty at the ISTD. She is the co-founder and choreographer of her own company called Overtures, Tereza created and performed in numerous productions. She is currently teaching at the Deborah Capon College and has recently returned to Bird College. She is also a freelance tutor for status exams up to Fellowship level and frequently examines and teaches abroad. Tereza is a member of the creative teams that have developed the Jazz Awards, Grades 4, 5 and 6 Modern and the Bronze, Silver and Gold Tap Awards, and the creation of the new Advanced 2 Modern Syllabus. As well as being Chair of the Modern Theatre Faculty, she is a senior examiner for the Modern Theatre and Tap Faculties and a member of the International Development Committee.

Katie Morea

Katie Morea holds a B.A. (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from the London Contemporary Dance School and Canterbury University as well as Fellowships of the ISTD in Modern and Tap. She is part of the creative team that devised the ISTD Modern Theatre Grades 1-6, the Advanced 1 and 2 and part of the Advanced 2 Tap. She is an International examiner and lecturer, an ISTD Modern committee member and the Artistic Director of The Dance Summer School organisation, which supports young dancers and teachers in their dance development. She is now the founder and principal of the Morea Performing Artc Centre of Excellence.

Lynsey Britton

Lynsey has had an extensive professional performing career in both the West End and on major UK tours with credits, including Cats, Guys and Dolls and Beauty and the Beast. Lynsey is the principal on the Britton School of Performing Arts.

Victoria Hinde

Victoria has performed all over the world! She has also appeared in West End productions of Dirty Dancing, Grease, Sinatra, Carousel, Show Boat and most recently Fiddler on the Roof. She has choreographed for the likes of Robbie Williams! Victoria trained at Laine Theatre Arts.

Stephen Webb

Stephen trained at Italia Conti and has since starred in many productions including;
Guys and Dolls, Footloose, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Kiss Me Kate, Saturday Night Fever. He has also worked in film and TV – The Bill, Eastenders, Kevin and Perry Go Large. He is currently performing in the smash hit musical ‘Legally Blonde’.

Amie Clapson

Amie trained at Doreen Bird College graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in Dance and Theatre Performance. She has toured the world performing onboard cruise ships and furthered her training at the Royal Academy of Music.

Grace Boguzas

Grace trained at Laine Theatre Arts and has appeared in ‘We Will Rock You’ in Germany.
She is more recently working as a fully qualified Pilates teacher.

Toni Dimmock

Toni trained at Preston Dance College. She has danced for P&O Cruises Australia and Refent Seven Seas Cruises. She is also a qualified Zumba fitness instructor.

Andrew Robinson

Gained a scholarship to London Contemporary Dance. He subsequently joined the company and is now working at the Metropolitan in New York.

Georgina Fox

After appearing in the original London production of 42nd Street she now runs an award winning performing arts studio and management company  in Atlanta, USA.

Annatt Bass

Annatt trained at The Guidhall School of Music and Drama and The Royal Academy of Music. She has since performed in many productions including The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore and most recently Cameron Mackintosh’s Phantom of the Opera.

Bethany Muir

Bethany Muir graduated from Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts but has been acting on television since she was a child. Bethany made her debut in The Queen’s Nose for BBC One and went on to play the recurring character Ella in Living It for CBBC. Soon after graduating Bethany was cast in the role of Franny Reynolds, wife of the notorious Bruce Reynolds in The Great Train Robbery for BBC One. Bethany appeared in Call the Midwife as Janice, a Christian scientist, falsely accused of child abuse. She most recently appeared as ‘Nancy’ in the BBC One drama Dickensian set within the fictional realms of Charles Dickens’s critically acclaimed novels.

Elise Bowd

Elise graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree from Arts Educational School in London and has since performed in many productions. Most recently Elise has been working for ‘A Stage Kindly’, performing unpublished works of writers from around the globe.

Casey Batchelor

Casey graduated from Italia Conti and has since shot to fame with her vibrant acting and modelling career. She most recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother!

David Baker

David gradated from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He has most recently filmed for blockbuster movie ‘A United Kingdom’ and appeared in a short film ‘Dead Bob’

Kate Chambers

Kate went on to study at Stella Mann Performing Arts College and has since the worked at Disneyland Paris as a dancer!

Victoria Sheffield

Victoria studied at the prestigious Doreen Bird College and landed her first job on graduating performing in In the Dead of the Night at the Landor Theatre, London. She has since been successful in securing jobs on cruise ships!

Rachel Hall

Rachel landed herself her dream job at Disneyland Paris where she got to dance in the parade as a dancer and character! She has recently gained a place at the prestigious London School of Musical Theatre, following her passion for performing.

Lisa Marie McHugh

Lisa went on to study at Stella Mann Performing Arts College and has had a successful career in the world of dance since. She has been a singer and dancer for Thomson Holidays and has choreographed for Rare Productions. She currently teaches dance and drama locally.
